Ashley

Well my little munchkin fell and hurt herself on September 12th (over two weeks ago). We have been told a million different things but the final diagnosis was a broken foot with damaged and torn ligaments.
She has been doing a good job of keeping her foot elevated and staying off of it as much as possible. She has a wagon that we are supposed to use to pull her in so her foot isn't hanging down as we carry her.
Unfortunately she still isn't improving the way she should be. We are currently trying to figure out the best options to care for her and avoid the surgery that is a possibility. :-(

Christmas Ornament

Getting started...
Almost done...
Finished product
This is one of the types of ornaments I am making for a homemade ornament swap I am participating in. The other day I decided I would try to crochet something. It wouldn't seem to crazy except I haven't even attempted to crochet something since Frieda taught me when I was 7 or 8. I am glad I was able to accomplish this and picked it up relatively easily. Of course they aren't perfect but they still turned out cute I think. I also love that it allowed me to use something Frieda taught me so long ago. I really miss her and love the opportunity to feel close to her.

Hopes for 2011

I have many hopes for 2011, and some of them I am going to track on here. I will post pictures and stories of how I am keeping up with these goals.

Hopes for 2011:

* Eat at home more, and meals that are healthier for everyone. This will include more crockpot meals, and more meals that were prepared ahead of time.

* Keep the house cleaned up, which will consist of a 20 minute pick up every night

* At least 2 family day/ outtings per month, this needs to be something planned out and fun, as well as something out of the ordinary

* Read 24 books

* Start knitting

* Visit somewhere I have never been
